Hyundai has launched the Creta Knight edition, with prices starting from Rs 14.51 lakh. It is based on the S(O) and SX(O) trims of the SUV, and is available with both petrol (N/A) and diesel engines. Just like before, the focus of the Knight edition remains on giving the SUV a sinister look with its black elements inside-out. The Knight Edition of the 2024 Hyundai Creta is available with both petrol and diesel engines, but the former is only available in the N/A petrol guise. The turbo-petrol engine is limited to the normal and N-Line versions of the compact SUV.
Prices for the petrol Creta Knight edition juggle between Rs 14.51 lakh and Rs 18.88 lakh, while the diesel variants start from Rs 16.08 lakh and go up to 20.15 lakh.
*Note: Titan Grey Matte costs an extra Rs 5,000, while the dual tone option carries an additional price of Rs 15,000.
Hyundai says the Knight edition packs over 21 changes. From the outside, the treatment is pretty straightforward. Find any chrome or non-black elements, and make them black. So the exterior of the car is now all-black, including the Hyundai logo, which gets a matte black finish.

The grille, 17-inch alloys, side sills, front and rear skid plates, C-pillar garnish, ORVMs, and spoiler, everything is finished in…. yeah, you guessed it, black. To add a sporty contrasty touch to the exterior, the brake callipers get a red insert and that’s the only colour you’ll see on the exterior of the Knight edition, that isn’t black. To denote that this isn’t your standard Creta, it gets a Knight badge on the right side of its tailgate.

There’s also a Titan Grey Matte exterior shade also available with a dual tone option for an additional price as stated above.
The standard Creta makes use of a light dual tone theme. Following the exterior treatment, the entire cabin theme, here, is now all-black with brass colour inserts on the dashboard. Even the seats are finished in black leatherette upholstery and feature the contrasting brass stitching. Hyundai has offered metal pedals as well to further up the ante on the sporty feels. To further stick to its dark theme, the Creta Knight edition also gets a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel with contrasting brass stitching, which is also present on the gearstick.

There are no additions to the features with this new Knight edition. Highlights include dual 10.25-inch digital screens, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, connected car technology, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, rear AC vents, and dual zone climate control.

In terms of features, you get six airbags, ISOFIX mounts, rear disk brakes, auto headlights, rear defogger, a 360-degree camera and level-2 ADAS features.
The Hyundai Creta Knight edition misses out on the turbo-petrol engine, but gets the 115PS/144Nm 1.5-litre N/A petrol engine and the 116PS/250Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine. The petrol is available with a 6-speed MT and CVT (continuously variable transmission), while the latter can be had with a 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT (torque converter).

The Creta Knight Edition offers the people the choice of an all-black Creta with black interiors, for people who don’t want the standard SUV with its light-coloured interiors. It widens the options for the Creta’s variant portfolio, as it takes on heavy competition from the likes of the Kia Seltos, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyryder and Honda Elevate.
