Honda has sent us an invite for an event on November 27, 2024 and the invitation says “Watts Ahead”. This suggests that the upcoming Honda Activa Electric could be unveiled on that day.

We think that the upcoming Honda Activa Electric could be based on the Honda CUV e, which was unveiled at EICMA 2024 last week. The electric scooter has sleek and edgy styling with the wide LED headlight giving the scooter a bold presence. The flush-fitting pillion footrest is a nice premium touch. It has dual 1.3kWh capacity removable battery packs. Honda claims that the scooter has a range of over 70km and charging each battery from 0-75% requires 3 hours. The peak power output of the motor stands at 6kW and the claimed top speed is 80kmph.

The scooter has a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers suspension setup. Stopping the scooter is a 190mm front disc brake and a 110mm rear disc brake. It is packed with features as well as the scooter’s base variant has a 5-inch TFT instrument console. The Honda RoadSync Duo variant has a 7-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for navigation, call and SMS alerts and music controls. Other features include all-LED lighting, a USB-C charging port and three riding modes: Standard, Sport and Econ.
When launched, the Honda Activa Electric is expected to be priced between the Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. Its rivals will be the Ola S1 Air, Ather Rizta and the Bajaj Chetak.
