Voge, a Chinese bikemaker, showcased its 250RR sport bike to the world in September 2021. Now, the bike has started reaching Chinese stores and a lucky few have also ridden it.
The Voge 250RR is priced at 19,980 Yuan (Rs 2.33 lakh) in its home markets, essentially making it more affordable than our homegrown TVS Apache RR 310. But what’s more impressive is the package it offers for the money.
To start off, the 250RR adopts a sharp design with a unique yellow and orange paint scheme. The fascia packs a twin pod projector-equipped LED headlight with strip-type LED indicators, while a sleek tail unit rounds everything off.
The features on the 250RR comprise a TFT instrument cluster, a USD fork, dual-channel ABS, and two riding modes. Not to forget, the bike tips the scale at just 147kg and has a low seat height of 780mm, meaning it’s super accessible too.
Under the skin, the Voge 250RR packs a 248cc, single-cylinder motor putting out 30PS and 23Nm. While these aren’t very surprising numbers, some Chinese publications claim the bike can reach 0-100kmph in just 7 seconds, which is marginally faster than what we managed on the more powerful BS6 TVS Apache RR 310.
All in all, the Voge 250RR is certainly an impressive motorcycle and well capable of stirring up the pot in our market. Sadly, the chances of it coming to India are bleak and even if it did, import duties would completely ruin its value-for-money prospect.
