After a thrilling January, with major announcements like the unveiling of the new Duster and the new Tata Punch facelift launch, we are all set to move into February with some more exciting launches and reveals! Let’s take a look at what we expect to break cover this month:
Launch Date: February
Toyota had previously taken the wraps off its first EV for India, called the Urban Cruiser Ebella, last month. And now, the carmaker is all set to introduce it later this month. Sharing its underpinnings with the Maruti e Vitara, it is equipped with features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen for infotainment with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, a fixed glass roof, ventilated front seats, a 10-way electrically adjustable driver seat, a JBL sound system, ambient lighting and multiple drive modes.
Under the hood, the Urban Cruiser Ebella will get an option of 49kWh and 61kWh battery packs, providing up to 543 km of claimed range. Read more about the Urban Cruiser Ebella here.

It has been almost 2 months since Maruti took the wraps off the e Vitara for India, and the carmaker’s first-ever EV is expected to be launched this month. The e Vitara shares a lot of the equipment with the Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella, which it is based on, and comes equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, fixed glass roof, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 10-way powered and ventilated front seats, 10-speaker Infinity sound system and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay.

Underneath, it gets an option of 49kWh and 61kWh battery packs, which offer up to 543 km of claimed range. We have already reviewed the e Vitara, and you can learn more about how it drives here.
Unveil Date: February 12
Next up is MG Motor India’s much-awaited Majestor, which will be unveiled on February 12, with a launch expected soon after. Going head-to-head against the Toyota Fortuner, it will be the brand’s flagship ICE product in India, sitting above the Gloster, which is expected to share its underpinnings. The Majestor is likely to be equipped with features such as a panoramic sunroof, powered, heated and ventilated front seats, three-zone climate control, a premium sound system, multiple wireless phone chargers and ambient lighting.

Under the hood, it is expected to continue with the 2-litre turbo-diesel and 2-litre twin-turbo diesel engine options, with rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive layouts. Read more about the Majestor and what the latest teaser shows here.
Launch Date: February 16
BMW will stir up some action in the midsize luxury SUV segment later in the month, with the launch of a new range-topping and sportier variant of the X3, called the 30 xDrive M Sport Pro. With subtle exterior design changes, a more powerful engine and a long list of features, it will offer a more performance-oriented alternative to other luxury crossovers.

While BMW is yet to confirm the feature list, expect it to be packed with equipment such as three-zone climate control, a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch driver display, a heads-up display, powered and ventilated front seats, a 15-speaker 750W Harman Kardon sound system and a wireless charger.
Under the hood, it will be powered by the same 2-litre twin-turbo petrol engine as the standard X3, albeit with a bump up in power to 258 PS. Read more about the X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro here.
Launch Date: February
Last, but not least on this list is Volkswagen’s new 7-seater SUV, the Tayron R-Line, which was unveiled just a few days back. Set to become the brand’s new flagship in India, the Tayron R-Line brings with it a distinct European design, a lot of new features and a powerful engine underneath.
Equipment-wise, it is likely to offer a panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system, three-zone climate control, 10-way powered, heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, an AR-based heads-up display and a 700W Harman Kardon sound system.

Under the hood, the Tayron R-Line will be powered by a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine shared with its sibling, the Tiguan R-Line. This engine will come mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and put out 204 PS of power. Read more about the Tayron R-Line here.
February will offer a unique lineup of cars entering the Indian market, which mostly cater to niche segments. However, despite this, we foresee a lot of action and excitement with these new products, a big chunk of which are geared towards enthusiasts!
