Audi Drops the A4 Signature Edition at Rs 57.11 Lakh, Here’s What Makes It Special…

Audi has just introduced a special Signature Edition for the A4 sedan, priced at Rs 57.11 lakh (ex-showroom). It gets bespoke exterior and interior styling elements, and some feature updates as well. However, there are no upgrades in the mechanical department as it continues to be powered by the same 2-litre turbo-petrol engine. It is important to note that the A4 Signature Edition is based on the top-spec Technology variant, and further gets Audi's special accessory package as part of the edition. It will be available in limited numbers only. 

So here’s what’s new and what has been carried over with the A4 Signature Edition: 

More Stylish Now! Inside & Outside…

The A4 was always an elegant looking sedan with its understated and classy design language. Now with the special edition, it gets bespoke exterior and interior elements that further uplift the design of the sedan. It gets a special decal for the Audi rings, puddle lamps projecting the Audi logo and dynamic wheel hub caps on the wheels that maintain the position of the Audi logos. 

No that’s not it! It also gets a special alloys wheel paint design for a striking look, a small lip spoiler adding a hint of sportiness and you also get customizable key cover options, adding a personal touch to your purchase. 

The interior gets a premium fragrance dispenser adding to the cabin experience, along with stainless steel pedal covers that add a sporty feel to your driving experience. Adding to the elegance inside are the wood oak, natural grey inlays that dial up the experience in the cabin. 

The A4 Signature Edition can be had in 5 colour options, including Glacier White Metallic, Mythos Black Metallic, Navarra Blue Metallic, Progressive Red Metallic, and Manhattan Grey Metallic.

It gets a parking assist feature with a 360-degree camera that ensures a seamless parking experience. With the regular version, the 360-degree camera comes as an accessory, while you get it as standard with the special edition. 

What Remains The Same? 

Other features remain similar to the regular top-spec Technology variant. It gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple Carplay, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a sunroof, a three-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger, ambient lighting, and powered front seats with memory function for the driver. 

Passenger safety is taken care of by eight airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, as well as front and rear parking sensors. 

The A4 is powered by a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine with mild-hybrid tech that makes 204 PS and 320 Nm. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) that delivers power to the front wheels. 

Price And Rivals 

The Audi A4’s pricing starts from Rs 47.93 lakh, and the Audi A4 Signature Edition is priced at Rs 57.11 lakh (ex-showroom), same as the top-spec Technology variant. So for the same money, you now get a more exclusive experience, and some extra features. 

The Audi A4 might be getting a bit long in the tooth now and the German carmaker already sells the next-generation of this car in international markets called the A5. However, the A4 still scores high on the value proposition as it undercuts rivals like the BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class by a significant margin. The special edition further enhances the value quotient and makes the A4 a sedan to consider if you are in the market looking for an entry-level German sedan that offers understated luxury in the true sense.
