Audi has taken a step in the right direction, offering owners more peace-of-mind with the introduction of a 10-year extended warranty and a 15-year roadside assistance (RSA) programme. This extended warranty covers all manufacturing defects for vehicles up to 10 years or 2 lakh kms, whichever comes first. The RSA includes many services, which we have covered later on in the article.
So if you are planning to buy an Audi, then this programme might have come at the right time for you! Read on as we have covered all the details…
The extended warranty of 10 years is applicable to all Audi models in the Indian lineup, and the extended programme comes as an optional extra. It covers all the manufacturing defects, and can be purchased at the time of purchase, or when the existing warranty of your car is about to expire. Buyers are given the option to choose from a 1-year and a 2-year extension with coverage terms similar to the standard warranty.
Do note that the cost of the extended warranty has not been revealed, and to know more about the same, we advise you to reach out to your nearest dealership and get a better understanding of the price it is offered at.

While breakdowns are rare, they can happen. For that, Audi provides an RSA programme that offers 24x7 emergency roadside assistance services. This service is provided across the country, so it does not matter if you need assistance in your own city or in some rural area or National highway.
The RSA includes towing on breakdown, accident or vehicle immobilisation to the nearest authorised Audi workshop. For minor mechanical and electrical faults, you also get immediate technical support.

Furthermore, you also get emergency services like fuel delivery of up to 10 litres (fuel cost to be borne by the customer), tyre repair and replacement, battery boost, and spare key delivery and lockout assistance
Premium customer car services include:
Custody, transportation and vehicle safekeeping services
Specially designed towing platforms
Hotel accommodation or onward/return journey for repairs that exceed 72 hours (when more than 100 km from the base location)
Passengers get complimentary refreshments
Owners also get the following services:
Customer updates every half an hour until case closure
Email notifications to the nearest dealership for all breakdown cases
100 percent use of protective body covers offered during service
Dedicated custody and mobility assistance
WhatsApp-based service request system for convenient access
Depending on your vehicle’s age and validity period, the roadside assistance programme offers flexible coverage packages with prices starting from Rs 3,999 and going up to Rs 8,000. Not only new buyers, but even the existing owners have the chance to upgrade their coverage, depending on their vehicle's life and current warranty status.

Audi is a brand that offers a diverse range of cars in India, right from the entry-level Q3 and A4 to the performance-oriented RS Q8. With complicated German engineering and plenty of electronics, there is a chance of something going wrong especially if you plan on owning the car for more than 5 years. And, you might already be aware that a part failure can potentially cost you in lakhs, so the extended warranty is something that you should consider taking even if it comes at a cost. That being said, Kudos to Audi for making ownership hassle-free and offering benefits that will encourage potential customers to choose Audi over its competitors.
