This year has been special for the Brezza as it hit a decade in the Indian market since its launch in 2016. After traversing two generations and one facelift, this is the second facelift for the Brezza - at least as Maruti calls it. The sub-compact SUV looks pretty similar to its outgoing version with little tweaks; however, it does bring you some updated features and, more so, a 1-litre new turbo-petrol engine. Here’s all that you need to know about the new Brezza:
The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is set to bring a subtle styling refresh rather than a complete redesign, with most of the changes concentrated at the front. We’ve already seen the car in multiple leaked images. It features a slightly redesigned grille, with top-spec variants getting a gold-finished insert (grey in lower variants), flanked by a revised bumper that incorporates a larger silver skid plate and newly styled fog lamp housings.

The SUV's boxy proportions and side profile remain unchanged, although there is a new design for the 16-inch alloy wheels.

Around the back, the updates are limited to revised LED tail lamp graphics and a tweaked rear bumper, making this more of a nip-and-tuck than a dramatic makeover. Additionally, leaks show that the trims with the turbo-petrol engine get a ‘Turbo Boosterjet’ badging on the tailgate.

The cabin will retain its familiar dashboard layout with a black and brown cabin theme. The notable change here is the larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system borrowed from the Maruti Victoris, which replaces the smaller 9-inch unit on the current model.
Other features include ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger, single-pane sunroof, a revised automatic climate control panel, connected car tech, an auto-dimming IRVM and front parking sensors.
Maruti's 1-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, currently offered with the Fronx, is expected to make its way to the Brezza. It is likely to be offered in a similar state of tune and paired with a new 6-speed manual gearbox. Alongside, the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine is also likely to continue with a new optional underbody CNG setup as well.

Maruti is set to launch the updated Brezza tomorrow, and prices are expected to start from around Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
It will continue to take on rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq, Kia Syros, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger, while also competing with crossover offerings like the Maruti Fronx and Toyota Taisor.
On paper, the Brezza has long been one of the more sensible picks in the subcompact SUV space, and that's exactly why so many people end up buying one. It doesn't try too hard, but it gets the basics right. The facelift seems to be filling in the gaps rather than reinventing the recipe, which honestly feels like the right approach. If you're someone who wants the longest feature list or the most eye-catching design, rivals like the Sonet or Syros might still tempt you more. But if your priority is an SUV that's easy to live with every single day, the updated Brezza might still be one of the safest bets in the segment.
