2024 Tata Safari Red Dark Edition Revealed, All Details in 7 Images

It has only been a few months since Tata launched the facelift version of the Safari. Now, on the occasion of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, the company has launched the Red Dark Edition of the updated Safari. The previous version of the Safari was offered with a Red Dark Edition, hence it is no surprise that Tata has opted to launch this variant on the updated Safari as well. Let us take a look at the details of this 2024 Tata Safari Red Dark Edition in 7 images.

Tata Safari Red Dark Edition - Exteriors 

The Safari Red Dark Edition comes with an all-black exterior theme. At the front, there is a black bumper, black grille as well as a black skid plate. However, the Tata logo at the front is finished in chrome. The headlight has a slim red insert which is the only standout red element at the front. 

The side profile too gets the all-black treatment with 19-inch all-black alloys. Also notice the Red Dark fender badge and the red Safari lettering. The brake callipers are finished in a red shade adding to the contrast along with the black colour. The rear gets the same black treatment including black bumpers, black skid plate and a black spoiler. Meanwhile, the Safari badging on the tailgate gets a red colour.  

Tata Safari Red Dark Edition - Interiors 

Coming to the interiors of the Tata Safari Red Dark Edition, Tata has offered a black and red colour combination. The dashboard gets an all-black design with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. A red coloured ambient light strip flows across the dashboard. The Red Dark edition comes with red grab handles in the centre console. 

Similar red coloured seat design with a triangular pattern is used on all the three rows of the Safari Red Dark Edition.  Meanwhile, the safety list consists of seven airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill assist, a 360-degree camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The Safari also comes with ADAS tech, including adaptive cruise control.

Tata Safari Red Dark Edition - Powertrain 

Tata will continue to offer the 2-litre diesel engine for the Safari Dark Edition. This engine develops 170 PS and is paired with a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options.

The Safari Red Dark Edition is expected to carry a premium compared to the regular variants and will also likely be available only in the higher trims. The current Safari range starts from Rs 16.19 lakh and goes all the way to Rs 27.34 lakh (ex-showroom). Key rivals of the Safari include the MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700, and Hyundai Alcazar.
