Multistrada V4 is set to be unveiled on November 4.
A new water-cooled Monster is likely to replace the Monster 821.
Expect the Scrambler Desert X and Motard concepts to be in near-production form.
With the COVID-19 pandemic throwing a spanner in the works for major events such as EICMA, the Borgo Panigale company has come up with an innovative plan for its annual event, the Ducati World Premiere. Starting November 4, Ducati will unveil its new bikes in a 5-part weekly web series, with the final episode set to roll out on December 2 on the brand’s website.
At the moment, the only confirmed unveiling is of the Multistrada V4. The website also features an image of the flagship ADV’s knobby tyres, suggesting there could be an ‘Enduro’ variant too. Ducati has put out a teaser on its social media handles showcasing different terrains, hinting that it could launch a street bike, a superbike, and something to hit the twisties.
So far, Ducati has been tight-lipped about the launches, but we suspect that there could be a Euro 5-compliant Monster range. A leaked document containing the VIN codings suggests that ‘1803 Project’ could be the new liquid-cooled Monster. The bike is expected to sport a new alloy frame, instead of the classic trellis frame it has been flaunting all these years.
We also expect Ducati to showcase the updated Scrambler range, which may feature the Desert X concept and the Scrambler Motard concept, first introduced at last year’s EICMA. The bikes are unlikely to be production-ready, but Ducati could take this opportunity to show the progress in the development of these motorcycles.
The premiere dates of the Ducati World Premiere 2021 web series are as follows:
