Starting with the design, the Harrier EV looks modern and appealing while having a chunky appearance. It gets a few EV-specific tweaks to set it apart from the Harrier ICE. The fascia comes with a closed-off grille and connected LED DRLs positioned above it. The bumper has been made sharper and more aggressive.

From the sides, it gets aero-specific 5-spoke alloys and EV badging on the front door. The silhouette remains the same as the Harrier ICE. The rear gets large connected LED lights, positioned above the Harrier EV lettering. Sporty elements like a shark fin antenna and a roof-mounted rear spoiler are also offered. A beefed up silver skid plate is offered, and it had a sense of ruggedness to the SUV.

Get inside and you will be welcomed by a premium which comes with plenty of equipment. The dashboard design and layout is similar to that of the Harrier ICE. It comes with soft touch materials on the door pads and dashboard which adds to the premium appeal. The chunky four-spoke steering wheel can be seen on the EV version. The infotainment unit comes with EV-specific graphics.

In terms of amenities, it features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a JBL sound system, multi-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and ventilated and powered front seats.
Passenger safety is taken care of by seven airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, level-2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera.
Powertrain specifications are not out yet, but we do know that the Harrier EV comes with a dual-motor setup, with one electric motor mounted on either axle. The motors combine to make an output of 500 Nm.

It is expected to be priced at around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom) and compete with the Mahindra XEV 9e.
