Q. V15 & HERO GLAMOUR I3S & TVS APACHE & DISCOVER 125, WHICH BIKE PERFECT FOR DAILY USE?
  • In terms of mileage Bajaj Discover 125 and Hero Glamour have a good average. V15 is also a great commuter because of its comfort and manoeuvrability which is must is the traffic. Apache has the best performance and a good pickup, however its average is not so good and the riding position is pretty tiring. Hero bikes require less maintenance. V15 has good looks and is the most attractive of all.
  • All bikes are good if you are concerned only for milage then its 1) discover 2) glamour 3) apache. But the maintenance of apache is more than that of discover and glamour but on the engine basis apache will be the best. So over all for daily use i suggest discover but in looks glamour
  • For daily use if you're only concerned about mileage, then discover should be 1st preference. But among all Apache is most powerful but i think power is not so required in commuting.

Q. What is the difference between Glamour Fi ABS and Fi?
  • Fi and IBS are two different things...Difference between FI and FI IBS is only the braking system. Integrated braking system or IBS is the technology to apply both breaks at 3:2 ratio for effective breaking when you use the only rear one...bcoz some riders avoid to use the front brake in fear of skidding and the braking distance increases....if you are a well experienced rider then I think you mustn't have it...
  • Abs is not there in glamour. It should be ibs, which is essentially combined brake system. Fi stands for fuel injection. Glamour also comes in carb variant.
  • Fi - Fuel injection system( its a feature of the engine) , ABS = anti-lock breaking system(its a safe breaking system)...

I have been using Bajaj v15

I have been using bajaj v15 for the past 6 years. The built quality and design is really good but the bike struggles with stability once it clocks 100kmph.The mileage with time has decreased and gives around 35kmpl.Hope bajaj comes up with an upgrade in near future.
