Awesome Car

In February 2012, I purchased a Maruti Alto 800 in Granite Grey. While the car looks nice when clean, its 0.8L petrol engine delivers modest power at 40.3bhp and 60Nm of torque. Despite the seemingly low figures, the car's performance is average. The interior quality is decent with fabric cladding, grey leather upholstery, and acceptable hard plastics. My variant is LXI, equipped with 12-inch steel wheels and a basic digital instrument system. The front seats offer comfort, but the rear is cramped for three, with low seats and tiny headrests. Safety features are lacking, with no ABS, EBD, reverse parking cameras, or seat belt pretensioners. The build quality is notably poor, with easy denting in the C-pillars. The boot space is decent at 177 liters, expandable by folding the rear seats.

Quality levels

3.0

I bought the maruti alto 800 in february 2012.The color is granite grey, And the car looks pretty nice when properly cleaned.Under the good is a 0.8l petrol engine which churns out 40.3bhp and 60 nm of torque. The power figures might be very astonishingly low, But the performance of the car is average. The quality levels of the car is also decent.Inside the door gets fabric claddings and nice grey leather upholstery. There are very much hard plastics, But they still are of a decent quality. The variant is lxi, The mid variant, And things which i get are 12 inch steel wheels with silver wheel caps, Yes that's a very small size.Has a standard normal digital instrument system, Analog speedometer with a digital display that shows time, Fuel to empty, And distance.Front seats are quite comfortable, No adjustable headrests of course, And under thigh support is quite decent enough. At the rear however, Three people cannot sit comfortably as there is a very huge h**p in the center, And the seats are very low, With very small, In fact tiny headrests which provide no whiplash support in case of a crash. The boot space is also quite decent, 177 litres, Which can be increased by lowering both the rear seats down.Talking about the safety, There is nothing. No abs, No ebd, No reverse parking cameras, No seat belt pretensioners, Nothing.Even the build quality is very poor, The c pillars easily dent inside if you press them with a thumb.

100km/hr speed

4.3

I am a alto 800 vxi owner since last 1½years.Alto gives comfortable driving experiences.Smooth driving in highways up to 100km/hr speed.I'm not crossed 100km/hr in my drive due lack of good roads in my area.Nothing special disadvantage over 80kmph.I think alto performance is best from 50kmph and above.Best things in alto 800 vxi• smooth power steering• comfortable seatings• less maintenance• average good mileage more than 17kmpl• customer support• large network of service centers• suitable for unmetalled local hilly roads also.Worst things in alto 800 vxi• back side door windows are manual (not power windows)• passenger cabin space comparatively small• air bag is limited to front side two passengers. As mentioned above alto can carry 200-300 kg loads without much difficult in normal plain roads and 170+ kgs load in hilly terrain.Body building quality better for price.Economic budget friendly.Post sales service from maruti suzuki is another important thing in alto. The company always keep in touch with its customers. No unwanted calls from maruti or its dealers.Company always tries to improve its product with the suggestions received by the customers. As a maruti alto 800 vxi (2022 model) owner i always happy.

Budget friendly

I would love to describe this car as a budget-friendly machine. The performance of the vehicle is not that punchy but according to the price point, it is decent. The car never struggles much in the mountains if the driver is trained. Comfort level can be rated 4 out of 10 and steering feedback is just okay. Vibrations are definitely there but the engine is refined. The mileage of the car in the city is about 12-14 km/l [bumper to bumper] and on the highway, it is about 17-19 km/l. The build quality of the car is not satisfying and it lacks features always. Sales experience is good and service experience is just okay with alto 800. Parts are easily available everywhere. Overall, this vehicle is beginners friendly and can be purchased by those who are thinking to purchase their first vehicle. Also, this can be considered by those who have budget problems and by those who want a good mileage machine.

Its a 800cc car so the power

Its a 800cc car so the power is less compared with other cars, Coming to mileage it gives around 18 to 20kmpl based on road type.Coming to comfort it's a great fit for small family with 4members.We are using the car from past 4years, Till now we didn't face any issue.Instead we parked car in a ground for a few months rats had spoiled the wiring then its bit hard to get parts of back horn and build quality is not much great outer body will get dents for a small accidents too.Apart from that it never disappointed in the road trips engine was good. And service cost is also less.

Driving experience is good less comfortable in comparison to others like santro.Pic up is very good comparatively santro.Ac performance is below average when the vehicle is not moving.Overall performance is ok mileage is good 22 kmpl on higway 18 kmpl in city and 33 km/kg on highway 29 km/ kg in city in cng pickup is very good in comparison to santro in both the fuels petrol and cng build quality is weak if we compare with santro driver comfort is less for long height personnel feel some vibrations but very less depending upon road and driving conditions.Average features but sufficient. After sale service is vary good. After all a average car for a bike riders or daily commuter.
