Now you might be wondering what is RED? Well, RED is an organisation founded by U2 frontman Bono and activist Bobby Shriver in 2006 for the fight to end AIDS. Since then, it has raised more than $475 million (Rs 3,107 crore) for focus on supporting Global Fund grants. It has so far helped more than 70 million individuals globally. The money raised from Vespa RED in India will be given to a programme that is working to ensure that HIV+ women have access to the services they need to ensure their babies are born HIV free. Each Vespa RED sold can provide more than 165 days of life-saving antiretroviral medication.
