Elon Musk has confirmed in a tweet that the deliveries of the Model S Plaid will begin from June 3 at Tesla’s Gigafactory in California. For those living under a rock, the Model S Plaid is understood to be one of the quickest production cars ever, with a 0-96kmph sprint time of just 1.99 seconds.

This remarkable claim is courtesy of the three electric motors (two on the rear and one on the front axle) belting out a whopping 1034PS! Battery specifications aren’t out yet, but Tesla asserts it can deliver an estimated range of 627km.
If that ain’t enough, there’s an even more powerful Model S Plaid+ in the works. Check it out here.

The Model S Plaid is based on the facelifted model that comes with sharper styling. But the highlight is on the inside in the form of a brand new dashboard. Like before, the design is minimalistic, but the central screen is landscape-oriented instead of the portrait setup in the pre-facelift version. You can also play games on it! Check it out here.

In India, Tesla is expected to start operations by the end of this year with the Model 3. The carmaker has also been planning to set up a manufacturing facility in the country. Learn all the latest developments here.
