  • The Tata H2X was the homegrown carmaker’s showstopper at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. Tata Motors is likely to showcase the series production version of the H2X concept at the 2020 Auto Expo. When launched, the micro-SUV is likely to be priced between Rs 4.5 lakh to Rs 7.5 lakh.
Tata H2X Concept
  • Like the H5X concept, the H2X’s front fascia features a honeycomb grille, slim LED DRLs and tri-arrow elements. Having seen the Harrier, we have high expectations from the H2X as well.

  • Even from this angle, the H2X look like a proper SUV. However, the flared wheel arches and the massive wheels will make way for more humble designs.
Tata H2X Concept
  • The H2X is based on the Alfa ARC platform and is, in fact, the smallest iteration of the architecture. The H2X-based micro-SUV will be the second car after the Altroz to be underpinned by it.

  • Flush door-handles? Do you think they will make it to the production-spec model?
Tata H2X Concept
  • Inside the concept, you see design elements from the Altroz. The H2X-based hatchback will most likely get a similar AC vent setup, a floating touchscreen and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The gear lever suggests it could receive an AMT variant as well.
Tata H2X Concept
  • The climate control screen will most likely be replaced with physical buttons with a display on the infotainment system.
Tata H2X Concept
  • Expect it to borrow the Tiago’s steering wheel with controls for audio and telephony.
Tata H2X Concept
  • Tata claims that the Alfa ARC platform is strong enough to achieve a full 5-star safety rating in crash tests. Like the Nexon, expect the H2X-based micro-SUV to set a benchmark in its segment.
Tata H2X Concept
  • The H2X is likely to feature loads of storage options.
Tata H2X Concept
  • With handsome styling and a plethora of safety and convenience features, the H2X comes across as a very tempting micro-SUV. It is expected to rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Mahindra KUV100 and the Hyundai Grand i10. Expect it to be launched by mid-2020.
