Mini Cooper 3-Door Hatch Gets A Special Paddy Hopkirk Edition

• Sports a bespoke body shade, 16-inch alloy wheels, blacked-out accents, and Paddy Hopkirk’s signature all over.

• Other highlights include a panorama glass roof, rear view camera, and John Cooper Works Sport Leather steering wheel.

Mini India has kicked off 2021 with the launch of a very special edition of the Mini Cooper 3-door hatch at Rs 41.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Called the Paddy Hopkirk Edition, it pays homage to the 1964 Mini Cooper S that took the first of three wins, piloted by Patrick ‘Paddy’ Hopkirk. The changes to the special edition Mini 3-door hatch honour the racing legend. 

Starting with the design, the Mini Paddy Hopkirk Edition is shod in a bespoke Chilli Red body shade, Aspen White roof, the No.37 sticker on both sides, and black mirror caps reminiscent of the No. 37 Mini Cooper S piloted by Paddy Hopkirk. Other notable bits include 16-inch alloy wheels in black as well as piano black accents around the bonnet scoop, door handles, fuel filler cap, front and rear MINI emblem, and kidney grille strut. 

The special edition model’s exclusivity is further enhanced by the No. 37 badging on the side scuttles and the keycap, Paddy Hopkirk’s signature on the illuminated door sills, C-pillars, the cockpit facia, the white bonnet stripe, and the33EJB badging on the number plate. Notable features include a panorama glass roof, rear view camera, Comfort Access System, and John Cooper Works Sport leather steering wheel.

The Mini Paddy Hopkirk Edition is powered by the Mini Cooper S’ 2.0-litre TwinPower turbo-petrol engine that delivers 192PS of grunt and 280Nm of torque. Paired to a 7-speed DCT gearbox, the hatch goes from 0-100kmph in 6.7 seconds and tops out at an electronically limited 235kmph.
