Mercedes-Benz opens shop in Chandigarh

Mercedes-Benz has inaugurated a new outlet in the city of Chandigarh, which has now become the largest luxury showroom in the state of Punjab. This new dealership is called Joshi Autozone. This facility was inaugurated by Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, and Deepak Joshi, Managing Director, Joshi Autozone.

Speaking on this occasion, Kern said, “With the launch of this state-of-art dealership which is Chandigarh and Punjab’s largest luxury car destination, we are committed to our pledge of creating unsurpassable luxury experience for our discerning customers. This is the 13th outlet we have inaugurated this year, as we continue to reach closer to our customers both in metros as well in tier II and III cities. Chandigarh has been one of Mercedes-Benz’s key markets and the inauguration of this benchmark dealership reiterates our focus on the market.”

This new dealership sprawls a good 75,000 sq ft and includes a well-structured showroom and workshop. This new outlet will offer facilities such as a luxurious customer lounge and plush Cafe Mercedes along with 18 cars on display.

The boutique collection and special play area for children are some of the highlights of this newly inaugurated showroom. The other facilities that can be availed by the customers are finance and insurance solutions, a dedicated boutique for accessories and lifestyle merchandise and drivers lounge. This new facility has 30 service bays and a staff of 250 personnel.

The German automaker has recorded a growth of 16 per cent in Q3 of 2014. Mercedes-Benz India also grew by 47 per cent in the fiscal year 2013-14 by selling more than 9,500 cars in India.
