The three-row Defender appears to retain most of the 90 and 110’s design elements.
Likely to utilise the same powertrains.
Land Rover could launch the 130 before the end of 2022.
If the above spy shots are anything to go by, Land Rover seems to be readying to bring a new and what looks like a proper three-row Defender to the market.
Called ‘130’, this will be the newest member of the Defender lineup, which already has the 90 and 110. But what do we mean when we say a proper three-row SUV (the keyword being proper)?

Well, the 110 gets the option of a third row as well, except that there’s barely any space inside. From what we can gather from the spy shots, the 130 is evidently longer than the 110. Despite this, the 130 will reportedly sit on the same 119-inch wheelbase as the 110. Also, while the test mule is camouflaged, it appears that the 130’s front and overall design is pretty much the same as the other two Defenders.

In India, the Defender gets the choice between a 300PS 2.0-litre petrol engine and a 300PS 3.0-litre diesel engine, both mated to an 8-speed automatic. If the 130 is offered here, it will likely run on the same powertrains.

The upcoming SUV is fancied to arrive by the end of 2022, and these spy shots could well be proof that Land Rover is on course. But we wanted to ask you, now that a three-row Defender is coming soon, what does the future hold for the Discovery? Let us know in the comments below.
