The SUV has now got Y-shaped LEDs in the headlamps and tail lamps and inserts in the grille, in keeping with Dacia’s latest design language. The new spoiler and 16/17-inch wheels have been tested in a wind tunnel. These aside, Dacia now claims a reduction of 5.8kgm in CO2 emissions in the all-wheel-drive variant.

Save for the new 8-inch infotainment system and a revised central console, the facelifted Duster’s dashboard is pretty similar to that of the pre-facelift SUV. It now features off-road related data (only on 4x4 variants), including an altimeter, inclinometer, and compass information.

The Duster also boasts safety features like blind spot warning, parking sensors with a 360-degree camera, hill hold assist, and adaptive hill descent control (only on 4x4 variants).

Under the hood, the new-gen SUV is offered with a choice of one diesel, three petrol, and one LPG powertrain, all Euro 6d-compliant.  While these get a standard 6-speed manual, the petrol engine also comes with a new optional 6-speed DCT. All engines drive the front wheels, with the diesel getting an optional all-wheel-drive system.

There’s no word on whether Renault would bring the second-gen Duster here in India. However, if launched, the SUV will fight it out with its compact rivals like the Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and the upcoming Skoda Kushaq and VW Taigun.
