The Avera Retrosa currently has nine dealerships in Andhra Pradesh. Plans are afoot to sell the Retrosa in the southern states of Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala by May this year. Avera plans to expand to the northern states by the third quarter of this year. Avera is also looking at increasing localisation of components once sales volumes are up. So, we can expect a more affordable Retrosa in the future.

For 2020, the Retrosa has been updated with a new battery pack. Instead of the previous 72V and 18AH twin battery packs, the electric scooter now gets a single optimised 72V and 36AH battery pack. Avera makes its battery pack inhouse and claims that it delivers a range between 120km and 140km. While the battery pack is fixed, Avera does offer swappable battery packs for business (like ride sharing) customers. The battery has a charge time of 3 to 4 hours. It can be charged in 1 to 2 hours via a fast charger.
