Creating a new unique class in the SUV segment, Audi launched its first RS model in the Q line-up, the Audi RS Q3 at the Geneva Motor Show 2013. The Q3 is the latest addition to Audi’s RS family.
Under the hood of the Q3 is the high performance 2.5 TFSI, five cylinder engine which produces maximum power of 315PS at 5,200-6,700 rpm with a maximum torque of 420 Nm which is available between 1,500 and 5,200 rpm.
The Audi RS Q3 accelerates from a zero to 100km/h in 5.5 seconds, with a top speed which is limited to 250 km/h and its average fuel consumption is 8.8 liters of fuel per 100 km. Its high performance engine is mated to a seven speed S-tronic gearbox which transfers its power to drivetrain. Its designed in a compact three shaft configuration, with its seventh gear designed with a long gear ratio to save fuel.

The design of the car is moreover the same as the concept which was showcased at the 2012 Auto China motor show. Its RS-specific exterior design features body accents and roof rails in matt aluminum, special door sill plates and door trim strips, a high-gloss black honeycomb front grille, RS front bumper and quattro emblem in the front air intake. A large roof spoiler, rear bumper with distinctive diffuser insert, large elliptical tailpipe and an RS Q3 logo accentuate the rear.
Its exteriors can be customised in two optional styling packages – matt aluminum or black. Styling features include the flaps in the side air intakes, the trim on the diffuser and the fins on the roof spoiler. It is available in eight exterior colors, including the exclusive Sepang Blue pearl effect. The Germany-spec model has been introduced with 19-inch alloy wheels but world over it will be able in three versions of 20-inch wheels, out of which one will be the 5 dual-spoke V design, which is based on the Audi RS Q3 concept car which was showcased in China last year.
