The upcoming Apache RTR 200 4V might make its India debut in early 2020

The 2020 RTR 2000 4V will receive minor cosmetic updates.
Will debut with a BS6 compliant engine.
The current RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 made its debut in March 2018.

The upcoming 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V will be equipped with a LED headlight, split for low beam and high beam, as per our sources. Other minor cosmetic updates like new colours and graphics are expected on the upcoming bike. We also hope that TVS equips the 2020 Apache RTR 200 4V with a digital console that gets Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation like the TVS Ntorq 125.

Apart from the cosmetic updates, the new Apache will also be debuting with a BS6 compliant engine. The current bike is offered in two variants - carburettor and fuel injection. However, we are sure that the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V will be available only in a single fuel-injected variant. The existing Fi variant churns out 21PS and 18.1Nm of peak torque. Whether the BS6 variant maintains the same power output remains unclear. Transmission duties are handled by a 5-speed gearbox, but we do hope that the 2020 RTR 200 4V receives a 6-speed unit for better touring capability.

The underpinnings of the upcoming motorcycle, including the frame, suspension hardware and dual-channel ABS unit, is expected to remain unchanged. The current TVS Apache RTR 200 4V FI variant retails for Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and we expect the 2020 RTR 200 4V to carry a premium of around Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000. Ranjan | 6 years ago Request tvs to launch with 6 speed gear box as it's increases the cruising speed on high and engine feels stress free while running relatively at low rpms than the current 5 speed gear box which fells stressed @100kmph.
