2017 TVS Wego Launched With BS-IV Engine

The scooter also gets a dual-tone seat cover, silver oak panels and a USB charging port, along with two new colour options

TVS has launched the 2017 model of its popular executive scooter, the Wego, with a price tag of Rs 50,434 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new version gets significant updates, with a BS-IV compliant engine topping the list. The scooter also receives two new exciting colour options -- Metallic Orange and T-Grey -- for a fresh look, along with some additional features such as a dual-tone seat cover, silver oak panels and a USB charging port.

While the new TVS Wego continues to sport all the features of the older model, the new updates give a more premium feel to it. The scooter continues to take power from the 109.7cc, 4-stroke, CVTi engine that makes 8.1PS of power and delivers a peak torque of 8Nm. However, the motor is now compliant with the more stringent BS-IV emission standards, making it safer for the environment.

The TVS Wego has a sleek, all-metal body with a versatile family-friendly design. The scooter gets features like telescopic front shock absorbers, full digital speedometer and a front disc brake (optional) along with Synchronized Braking System (SBS). According to the company, it features a body balancing technology that helps the rider maintain the stability of the scooter in varying load conditions. The TVS Wego has also enjoyed the No.1 position two years in a row in the Executive Scooter category in JD Power (Asia-Pacific) Quality survey.
