EMotorad, a Pune-based electric cycle manufacturer, has launched the new T-Rex Air electric cycle with 27.5-inch wheels, starting at Rs 34,999. It can be used as both a geared cycle and an electric cycle. This mountain bike (MTB) comes in two vibrant colours: Orange Blaze and Tropical Green. The T-Rex Air also has a 29-inch wheel variant in Coral Cruise and Sundown Yellow.

The EMotorad T-Rex Air is equipped with a 250W electric motor, which is powered by a 10.2AH removable lithium-ion battery. It comes with a 5-level pedal assist and promises a range of over 50km on assist and 40km on the throttle. It can also be used as a geared cycle as it comes with a 7-speed Shimano gearbox. The electric cycle has a top speed of 25kmph on the throttle, but you can ride it faster using the pedals.

The T-Rex Air has a 5-inch LCD cluster that shows battery, speed, odometer, pedal assist level and headlight on/off indications. It also comes with an integrated horn. The electric cycle uses a 2A charger that charges the battery from 0 to 80 percent in around 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The EMotorad T-Rex Air has a high-tensile steel frame. It is a hardtail MTB and only gets a front telescopic fork with 100mm travel. Braking duties are managed by disc brakes on both ends. It rides on double-wall aluminium spoke alloy wheels fitted with multipurpose block pattern tyres.

The T-Rex Air comes with a 5-year manufacturer warranty. You can order the electric cycle from e-commerce sites like Amazon and Flipkart, from the EMotorad website, or an authorised dealership.
