Alongside the new Kushaq facelift’s unveiling, Skoda also updated the Kylaq lineup by rejigging its features and introducing two new variants – Classic + and Prestige + – to offer more flexibility to buyers. The existing Signature and Signature + variants also got minor updates. Let’s take a look at what these changes mean for the entry-level Skoda:
The Classic+ variant now takes slots in between the Classic and Signature trims to become the new one-above-base variant to cater to buyers on a budget, but those who want something more than just the basics.
Over and above the Classic variant, the Classic+ gets the following additions from higher variants:
Single-pane electric sunroof
16-inch steel wheels with silver wheelcaps
Cruise control
Steering-mounted audio controls
4-speaker sound system
Rain-sensing wipers
Auto-dimming IRVM

With prices starting from Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom), it makes for a good value-for-money option for first time buyers. Here is the pricelist:

Along with the more affordable Classic+ variant, Skoda has also launched a new top-end Prestige+ variant with 6-way powered front seats with ventilation (now deleted from Prestige) making their appearance here. It still retains other equipment from the Prestige trim which includes features such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, 8-inch digital instrument cluster and cruise control.
The Prestige+ variant is available with manual and automatic gearbox options and has been priced from Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom):

Along with the new trims, Skoda has also added a rear wiper and washer, and paddleshifters (AT only) in the Signature and Signature+ variants as well.
The Prestige variant, however, which was the erstwhile top-trim sees the 6-way powered front seats being deleted.

Skoda has also revised the colour palette of the Kylaq once again with a new Cherry Red hue. Sadly though, the Kylaq is not offered anymore with the unique Olive Green shade. You can still configure it in other colours like Lava Blue, Deep Black, Candy White, Carbon Steel, and Brilliant Silver as before.
The Kylaq remains Skoda’s entry-level product for India and borrows its underpinnings from the Kushaq and Slavia. It features a muscular design, with low-mounted front headlamps and a ‘butterfly’ grille at the front. Towards the side you can see 17-inch alloy wheels, along with muscular haunches and roof rails. At the rear, things are kept simple with a silver skid plate, and squared-off tail lamps making for a conventional design.

Under the hood, it gets powered by a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine making 115 PS and 178 Nm, which comes paired to both manual and automatic gearbox options. Here are the detailed specifications of this powertrain:

The Skoda Kylaq competes in the hotly-contested subcompact SUV segment which includes rivals like the Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet and Syros, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor.
Ever since its launch in 2025, the Kylaq has remained Skoda’s bestselling model, and these consistent updates ensure that its lineup remains relevant and fresh, while retaining flexibility for the advantage of buyers. These two variants, along with new updates only go further to serve that purpose and enhance the value-for-money quotient of the Kylaq.
