Minimal Changes

The new Porsche 911 continues the tradition of updates, remaining easily recognisable despite subtle changes. It retains the signature circular headlight design, now equipped with Matrix LEDs. Further down, the updated 911 boasts a larger air dam with active air cooling flaps, alongside the relocation of the ADAS sensor beneath the licence plate. Moving to the rear, it gets slimmer connected LED tail lights, while the dual exhaust tips are now centrally positioned on the Carrera GTS 4.

The cabin of the new Porsche 911 has also undergone subtle changes only and looks very similar to that of its previous iteration. The highlights are the new 12.6-inch fully digital driver’s display along with a central 10.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The steering wheel now gets the mode switch button as standard. It is also equipped with amenities such as wireless phone charging up to 15W in a cooled compartment, high-power USB-C PD ports, and standard ambient lighting. For the first time in over 6 decades, Porsche has introduced a hybrid assisted powertrain with the 911 Carrera GTS 4. It uses a newly developed 3.6-litre 6-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine mated to an electric motor which provides an immediate power boost taking the combined output to 541 PS and 610 Nm. This system is integrated with an 8-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission which also has its separate electric motor for the extra torque output.

The regular Carrera uses the same twin-turbo 3-litre engine, but it has been up-tuned to produce 394 PS and 450 Nm.

Rivals

In India, the faster variants in the Porsche 911 range can be regarded as a rival to the Ferrari 296 GTB and Mclaren Artura.
