After an exciting May that was full of new car launches and updates to some other monikers, we have arrived in June, which looks really promising and exciting for the automotive industry. In this report, we take you through all the upcoming car launches in India in June. The list includes a mid-size electric SUV, and some really cool cars from the popular German marque!
Let’s begin…
Launch date: June 3, 2025
Tata is undoubtedly one of the biggest EV automakers in India, and the popular carmaker will be extending its EV lineup with the introduction of the Harrier EV. The Harrier EV will be based on the Acti.ev platform, positioned above the Curvv EV.
The Harrier EV looks similar to the Harrier ICE, but gets minor design revisions to set itself apart. In the features department, too, things will be similar to the diesel version, but it will get EV-specific graphics on the infotainment and instrument cluster.
While we do not know the exact powertrain details of the Harrier EV, we know that it will boast a range of over 500 km, and its dual motor setup will generate up to 500 Nm of torque.
It is expected to cost from Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom) and will take on the popular Mahindra XEV 9e. To know more about the Harrier EV, check out this report.
Launch Date: June 12, 2025
The G-Wagen has a separate fan base not only in India but worldwide as well. However, Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch a special one for India, a Collector’s Edition AMG G63.
The special edition is likely to have a bright orange colour scheme, which will be exclusive to it. One can also expect it to get some customised badges and alloy wheels to make it stand out against your regular G-Class.
Just like the exterior, the interior too is expected to get a different theme with some changes to the seat upholstery and materials used inside. There won’t be any changes under the hood, and the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Collector’s Edition will come with the same 4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that puts out 585 PS and 850 Nm. The popularity and demand of this SUV has grown in recent years, and we won’t be surprised if we soon get to see the special edition on our roads!
It is expected to be priced at Rs 3.5 crore (ex-showroom).
Launch Date: June 26, 2025
Mercedes-Benz is all set to launch the AMG GT 63 and GT Pro in India, a comeback for the GT moniker, which was discontinued in 2020. Both models will be ideal candidates for your dream garage and will catch plenty of spotlight on the roads. The GT 63 will come with a new 2+2 layout, featuring two extra seats over the older version’s 2-seater configuration. The design looks breathtaking to say the least, and the modern and sporty elements add to the appeal.
The interior remains similar to the India-spec Mercedes-AMG SL 55, featuring sport seats for the front passengers, a 3-spoke AMG-specific steering wheel, a 12.3-inch driver’s display and a vertically-oriented 11.9-inch touchscreen infotainment.
Under the hood, you get the 4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that churns out 577 PS and 800 Nm in the regular GT 63 variant, and makes a higher output of 612 PS and 850 Nm with the GT 63 Pro version. The top-spec Pro version of the coupe can fly from 0-200 kmph in just 10.9 seconds, and has a top speed of 317 kmph.
The GT 63 is expected to be priced from Rs 3 crore (ex-showroom), and the Pro version will come at a premium over it.
The Jaguar Type 00 has already gained a lot of popularity and reaction from car enthusiasts worldwide, and that’s mainly due to its controversial design. But, love it or hate it, it’s a Jaguar at the end of the day! The Type 00 Concept will be unveiled in India on June 14, at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai.
The Type 00 is unlike anything that you have seen before, and will make heads turn around like no other. Being a luxury EV, it will offer a claimed range of 770 km (WLTP), and really quick charging, providing you a range of up to 300 km in just 15 mins! To know more about the upcoming Jag, check out this report.
As seen above, June will be full of exciting car launches with something or the other for everyone! The Harrier EV and the Mercedes-Benz launches could prove to be very interesting, and we are eagerly waiting for the brands to announce the pricing, for us to form a final opinion on their value proposition! Till then, we would like to know which car you are most excited about in the comments section below.
