Lamborghini Urus: First Look

The Lamborghini Urus has now found 200 homes in India. It has crossed this milestone in the four-and-a-half-years it has been on sale in India. The 100-unit sales mark was crossed by the SUV in March 2021.

Lamborghini India has revealed that the Urus accounts for 80 per cent of first-time Lamborghini buyers in India. It is already the best-selling Lamborghini in India, and globally with more than 20,000 units sold. Among Indian buyers, the most popular colours for the Urus are Giallo Auge (the famous yellow), Nero Noctis (black), and Bianco Monocerus (white).

The Urus packs a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 that churns out 650PS and 850Nm, distributing it to all four wheels via an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The Lamborghini SUV has a claimed 0-100kmph time of 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 305kmph.

Following its massive success, Lamborghini is gearing up to introduce a midlife facelift for the Urus by the end of 2022 which could be launched in India by early 2023. It could follow the naming protocol of the Huracan and be called the Urus Evo.
