What do our beloved young ones love? Fancy cars! What do we adults love? Fancy cars! So clearly, we car enthusiasts adults never really grow up when it comes to automobiles. And why should we, cars have been objects of desire, and every one of us deserves to be children inside. So this Children’s Day, we have a list of five drool-worthy cars that you can buy in India.
Price: Rs 74.99 lakh
Suicide doors in a car that doesn’t cost even Rs 1 crore is something out of a fantasy. But MG made it real by launching the Cyberster at Rs 75 lakh. Talk about insane! The Cyberster is MG’s flagship model in India and is a stunner. If there could be a car that wouldn’t be too out of reach (in India), yet would look brilliant as a bedroom poster, it’ll be the Cyberster.

Get it in Nuclear Yellow or Flare Red, it’s sure to turn eyeballs – both on the roads and in the rooms.
Price: Rs 2.34 crore
Ahh, the quintessential roadster from Mercedes-Benz. The SL is a nameplate that’s as old as time (for Mercedes-Benz), and it has always been an aspirational model. The SL’s charm started with the 300 SL Gullwing from the 1950s, quickly becoming a poster car for every little car enthusiast.
Fast forward to 2025, the new AMG SL is carrying the same torch of being a poster car but with more modern amenities and performance. Also, this latest seventh-gen SL is the first of the lot to be an AMG-only model, so performance and pizzazz in one package is guaranteed.

Price: Rs 3.81 crore
The 911 Turbo S is probably the most sensible car in this list, but it is still a wonderful car that many would love to have a poster of in their rooms. That iconic silhouette, those hallmark round headlamps, and classic ducktail spoiler complete a look that none has been able to replicate.
This shape comes thanks to a rear-engine setup, and Porsche has been at it for the past 70 years, that it has even perfected that recipe too. The latest 911 Turbo S just launched in India, after making its global debut at the Munich Motor Show in October.

Price: Rs 4.57 crore
Sorry, the most sensible option in this list is the Urus because it has four doors, seating for five and most of all, it’s an SUV! Yeah, who’d have thought an SUV would become a poster car, but if Lamborghini makes a car, it's for sure going to go up on a wall too! Sharp lines, multiple cuts and creases, large intakes, and an even larger engine are what make the Urus a jaw-dropping poster.
Making the Urus more “sensible” is the plug-in hybrid version you get with the Urus SE. An environment-friendly Lamborghini, now that’s something for the history books.

Price: Rs 8.5 crore
Okay, let’s throw sensibility out of the park because it’s a Ferrari! And it’s not any Ferrari, it’s the latest V12 grand touring model, which has a name that’s easy to write but difficult to pronounce – 12Cilindri. 12 isn’t 12, it’s Dodici, which is, umm, 12 in Italian. Anyway, the 12Cilindri is the latest and greatest Ferrari to come out of Modena.
It’s modern, but it’s also retro of sorts – with its blacked-out front band between the lights that reminds you of the 365 GTB/4 Daytona. And not just that, the whole car pays tribute to the Daytona, one of the most iconic cars from Ferrari.

A poster worthy Lexus? Are we sure about what we are saying here? Oh yeah… I mean, have you looked at one? Only 500 of these were ever built, but none came to India. But that doesn’t stop us from sweeping our jaws off the floor and collecting our drool, which flows like the Ganga! A sonorous 4.8-litre V10 with an exhaust tuned by Yamaha and a body that oozes style, the LFA is a masterclass in Japanese precision and design.

Whoever said that car enthusiasts need to grow up and stop collecting scale models and posters really needs to stop meddling with people’s lives, because why should we? Things that enticed us as children still catch our fancies, and we have all the right to indulge in our interests. And if we don’t let the children (or us adults) keep posters and scale models of these cars, how else are we supposed to nurture future enthusiasts or even have the goal to own one of these beauties?
Anyway, which of these is your favourite? Which car would you add to this list? Tell us in the comments!
