The Kia Seltos 2026 has just made its debut with a refreshed design, a reworked interior, and a more layered variant structure. Bookings open tomorrow for Rs 25,000, a January 2 launch, and mid-January 2026 deliveries. The new Seltos is gearing up to make a strong entry.
The powertrain trio on offer also remains the same across the range: 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel, depending on the variant.

Kia's 24-standard safety pack gives every variant of the Seltos a strong safety foundation. The HTE may be the entry point, but it packs more than just basics in its firepower. The HTE (O) offers meaningful upgrades over the base HTE, including styled 16-inch wheels, connected LED tail lamps, and black roof rails, giving the Seltos more of a premium stance. Inside, semi-leatherette seats, a 60:40-split rear bench with an armrest, and three adjustable rear headrests improve comfort and usability, while features such as seatback pockets and one-touch driver's window add everyday convenience.
The automatic variants get additional inclusions like an electronic parking brake, Auto Hold, traction and drive modes, and paddle shifters.

The HTK variant adds some meaningful upgrades over the HTE (O), starting with the option of 17-inch crystal-cut alloys, while the 1.5 MT continues on 16-inch style steel wheels. Convenience increases with auto-folding ORVMs, a hidden rear wiper, and a rear defogger, all useful in everyday city driving.
Inside, the cabin is more upscale and functional with features such as push-button start, proximity unlock, rear sunshades, and a tilt-telescopic steering wheel. A rear parcel shelf adds practicality by keeping luggage out of sight.

Compared to the HTK, the HTK (O) brings in a fair amount of added sophistication. The cabin steps up with smoky black-and-grey leatherette upholstery, a leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, sporty metal pedals, and LED personal lamps, all of which together noticeably raise the ambience. The big highlight, though, is the dual-pane panoramic sunroof, which instantly makes the cabin feel larger and more upmarket.
Other practical additions to increase everyday usability include front parking sensors and wireless phone chargers. On automatics, the upgrade adds front-ventilated seats and an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat.

The HTX is where the Seltos starts to feel properly premium. It adds a sharper exterior with satin-silver skid plates, a gloss-black Digital Tiger Face grille, LED fog lamps, and gloss black ORVMs. The cabin takes a big step up with Brown–Grey dual-tone interiors, leatherette trim, and 64-colour ambient lighting.
The main highlight is the new 12.3-inch HD touchscreen with Kia Connect 2.0, OTA updates, and a smarter UI. Comfort has been boosted further by features like dual-zone climate control, front-ventilated seats, and a Bose 8-speaker system.

The Seltos' sportier, more premium step-up adds sharper styling and extra comfort features, making it a full-on GTX. It introduces the Ice Cube LED projector headlamps, Star Map DRLs, dark gunmetal Digital Tiger Face, gloss-black bumpers, and larger 18-inch crystal-cut alloys with neon brake callipers on GT-Line versions.
On the inside, the cabin layout features a two-tone smoky black-and-white colour scheme and GT-Line styling, featuring an overall more athletic look and feel. The driver gets a 10-way powered seat with lumbar support, memory functions, auto-retract for easy entry, and auto-folding ORVMs. The GTX takes the already well-equipped HTX and layers on a sportier look and added convenience for those who want a more performance-oriented Seltos.

Based on the sporty GTX trim, the GTX(A) adds the Trinity panoramic display, incorporating a 12.3-inch digital cluster, side parking sensors, and Kia's full Level 2 ADAS suite comprising up to 21 features. It includes advanced collision-avoidance functions, lane-keep and lane-follow assist, blind-spot monitoring with avoidance, rear cross-traffic alerts, safe exit warning, and a 360-degree camera with blind-spot monitor.
The automatic ones also receive Smart Cruise Control with stop-and-go and Parking Collision Avoidance (Reverse). All in all, the GTX A turns the Seltos into a far more tech-laden and safety-oriented package while retaining the GT Line's sporty appeal.

The X-Line pack gives the Seltos a darker, more premium personality. Black high-gloss skid plates, dark gunmetal side accents, and 18-inch black alloy wheels round out the details, as do exclusive shades like Xclusive Matte Graphite and Aurora Black Pearl. Inside, the theme's Smoky Black and Hunter Green treatment continues with matching leatherette seats.
It doesn't include new features, yet for buyers wanting the most distinctive-looking Seltos available, the X-Line delivers a clear visual upgrade.

In contrast, Kia's new Seltos lineup is a lot more lucid and better proportioned. The HTE finally seems modern at the base itself, the HTK and the HTK (O) add useful comfort features, and the HTX brings in premium tech that most buyers look for. The HTX (A) ups the ante with full ADAS, while the GTX and GTX (A) serve the buyer looking at sportier styling and some added conveniences. The X-Line, for those who want the most distinctive look, sharpens into a much darker look.
