Official bookings for the Kia Carens commence for a token amount of Rs 25,000.
To be offered in five trims: Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus, across 6- and 7-seating configurations.
Feature highlights include an electronic tumble for the second row, 10.25-inch. touchscreen infotainment system, connected car tech, and ambient lighting.
Will get three powertrain options: 1.5-litre petrol, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel.
Expected to be priced from Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
Kia India has begun official pre-launch bookings of its upcoming three-row offering, the Carens. Interested buyers can book their MPV via its website or at dealerships for a token amount of Rs 25,000. The MPV is slated for a launch in the first quarter of 2022.

The Kia Carens will come in five broad trims: Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. Customers will get an option of 6- and 7- seating configurations, the former exclusive to the top-spec Luxury Plus.

Kia will offer the Carens with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a segment-first electronic tumble for second row, connected car tech, a Bose sound system, a digital driver’s display (similar to the i20’s), 64-colour ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and an electric sunroof.
Standard safety includes six airbags, rear parking sensors, hill hold/descent control, electronic stability control, and all-wheel disc brakes. We have covered its trim-wise features list to help you get a clearer idea.

Under the hood, the MPV will get three engine options:1.5-litre petrol, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel. A 6-speed manual will be offered as standard, while the automatic transmission option will be limited to the turbo-petrol and diesel motor.

The Kia Carens will go on sale in the first quarter of 2022, with prices likely to start from around Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete against the Maruti Suzuki XL6, Mahindra Marazzo, and select trims of the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.
