Inside, the Jeep Compass has an all-black interior theme with black fabric and vinyl seat upholstery and trim bits. It has a dual-zone climate control system and a 10.1-inch UConnect 5 infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay paired with a 6-speaker audio system.

The Jeep Compass Night Eagle is front-wheel-drive only, available with both petrol and diesel powertrains. The 170PS 2-litre diesel engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, and the 160PS 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch (DCT) automatic transmission.
Jeep’s new all-black SUV sits at the lower, more affordable end of the Compass’s price range. It rivals top-spec compact SUVs such as the XUV700 and Harrier. Higher-spec variants of the Jeep Compass go up against the Citroen C5 Aircross, Hyundai Tucson, and Volkswagen Tiguan.
