Tata Punch EV Effect? Citroen eC3 With New Top-spec Shine Variant And New Features Launched

• Citroen updated the eC3 by introducing a new top-spec Shine variant.

• Introductory prices of the new Shine variant starts from Rs 13.20 lakh (ex-showroom).

• New Cosmo Blue colour replaces the Zesty Orange shade offered with the eC3.

• Feature upgrades include a rear parking camera, rear washer and wiper with defogger, and electrically adjustable ORVMs.

• Offered with a similar 29.2 kWh battery pack that provides a claimed range of 320 km.

To keep up with the recently launched Tata Punch EV, Citroen has updated its fully electric eC3 with a new top-end variant, called Shine, priced from Rs 13.2 lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant comes packing with a new colour and convenience features, the latter we feel should have been introduced from day one itself.

To begin, the new Shine variant is priced Rs 50,000 higher than the earlier top-spec Feel variant. Check out the variant-wise prices here: .

Exterior Updates

No changes have been made to the Citroen eC3’s overall design. That said, there is a new Cosmo Blue colour that replaces the Zesty Orange hue that was offered earlier. Even the dual-tone options that got the orange colourway have been replaced with this new blue paint scheme. You can check out the eC3's design in detail over here. 

Interior Updates

The main talking point here is the introduction of essential features in this top-spec variant, including a leather-wrapped steering wheel, rear washer and wiper with defogger, rear parking camera, and electronically adjustable ORVMs. Apart from that, the features list remains more or less the same as before. 

Powertrain

There are no updates in the powertrain department either, as the eC3 continues to be offered with a single 29.2 kWh battery pack variant across all variants. Here’s a quick look at the eC3 powertrain specifications below.

Price

Prices for the eC3 start from Rs 11.61 lakh (ex-showroom), while the new Shine variant is priced between Rs 13.20 lakh and 13.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with the Tata Punch EV and Tata Tiago EV.
