MG Air is a two-door city EV with up to four seats.
Gets two battery sizes overseas with 200km and 300km range, paired with a 41PS e-motor.
Features include a large touchscreen, digital driver’s display and climate control.
Likely to be priced from Rs 10 lakh onwards (ex-showroom).
MG Motor has announced that it’ll unveil a new vehicle in India on January 5. We reckon this could be the carmaker’s first mass-market electric offering, the Air EV, that was expected to be unveiled around the same time.
The Air EV is a cutesy two-door EV that’s available as a two-seater or four-seater overseas. It’ll go head-to-head with the Tata Tiago EV and Tigor EV.

We expect the MG Air EV to carry a price tag of around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the carmaker’s second EV in the country after the ZS EV electric SUV, and is expected to be launched sometime in early 2023.
