The new Nissan X-Trail is the third generation of SUV by the manufacturer, and is on an all new platform. The new X-Trail will come to India via CKD route. The company has announced about the re-launch of its discontinued SUV Nissan X-Trail in the Indian car market. The new Nissan X-Trail will be blessed with eye-catching exteriors along with spacious internal cabin, which will surely lure the car enthusiasts. The Nissan X-Trail will lock horns with the likes of Honda CR-V, Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Hyundai Santa Fe.
To begin with the outer looks, the Nissan X-Trail will have a rugged body structure, which is fitted with a number of styling aspects. The overall body structure is aerodynamic and it has a tough, masculine look, which will certainly flatter the customers. It has been designed with a signature radiator grille, which is fitted with a typical V-shaped chrome strip. It is flanked by a well sculptured headlight cluster. It also has day time running lights that give the frontage a distinct look. The insides of Nissan X-Trail have been done up luxuriously and has a lot of practical aspects in it.
The seating arrangement gives ample leg room along with apt head and shoulder space to all the occupants. The rear seat is foldable and comes with proper lumbar support. The rear seat of the X-Trail will be split foldable, which helps in increasing the boot volume of car. The seats are covered with premium upholstery that adds to the stylishness of the cabin. The Nissan X-Trail will have a driver oriented cockpit, where all these features are ergonomically designed and easy to reach.
As per the speculations, Nissan will launch the new Nissan X-Trail in two petrol engine options. The Nissan X-Trail will be powered with a 2.0 litre petrol power plant which will come with a four pot configuration and sixteen valves using double overhead camshaft based valve arrangement. This engine will have the capacity of churning out a 144PS in combination with a peak torque output of 200Nm. On the other hand, the commanding 2.5 litre power plant will also be blessed with whopping power of 171PS and it yields a hammering torque output of 233Nm. Both these engines will be mated with a seven speed X-Tronic automatic transmission gear box with manual mode.
Expect the new Nissan X-Trail to be enter the market with both two wheel and four wheel drive options for the customers to choose from. The Nissan X-Trail is expected to be priced at around Rs 32-35 lakhs mark.
