It consists of the Scrambler Icon (Rs 7.89 lakh), Full Throttle (Rs 8.92 lakh), Cafe Racer (Rs 9.78 lakh) and Desert Sled (Rs 9.93 lakh) (all prices ex-showroom, India). For 2019, the bikes retain their original silhouette but gets cosmetic updates for a more modern look. The ergonomics have been updated with a new, more comfortable seat while the new suspension setup has been tuned for more comfort. While the 803cc air-cooled motor remains unchanged, you now have a hydraulic clutch that reduces clutch lever effort significantly. You also get new switchgear, adjustable levers, optional Ducati Multimedia System and an updated instrument console that now includes a gear position indicator and fuel gauge. The biggest update though is the inclusion of cornering ABS.

Editor's View of Ducati Scrambler

  • Upside

Classic, retro-cool design, fun to ride bike with great performance

  • Downside

Too many accessories and customizing options. Not a bad thing, but will raise the price

  • Our Verdict

The Scrambler is an easy and fun-to-ride bike. Retro-cool looks, backed by modern technology, the Scrambler harks back to the days of simple motorcycling – two wheels and an empty road. Yet, it is a modern motorcycle and will appeal to all classic bike lovers.

2016 Red Icon. Just a lot of fun to ride! Light, super nimble. Very torquey but I like that. Clutch went just under 10000k, replacement cost = $1300.00. Ouch! But can’t keep the front wheel on the ground now after it’s replacement. At 6’3”, 220 lbs, bikes too small for me, wish I waited for 2019 1200 would’ve fit much better. But again, don’t care. I love the damn bike! Take it light off-roading and handles real good. Topped out at about 120 on highway. The perfect around towner. Think these are big out West US (Cali), but not so much here in NYC area, so people constantly admire. Between maintenance costs, and parts/accessories though, it’ll probably (maybe) push me away from buying Ducati again (but who really knows😝) If someone asked me, I’d def recommend if they don’t mind paying the Xtra smackers at the shop.
