Skoda Rapid Leisure special edition launched at Rs 9.06 lakhs

The Czech car maker’s mid-size sedan has begun selling rapidly off late thanks to some clever short-term financing options like its Rapid EMI Holiday offer and the 100 per cent finance scheme that was made available to customers earlier this year.

To keep the sales momentum high in such testing times for the automotive industry, Skoda has just introduced a more feature packed version of the Rapid sedan called the Leisure, which has been priced at Rs 9.06 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the top-end 1.6 TDI manual version.

Available across the country for a limited period only the Skoda Rapid Leisure will include additional features like a portable navigation system with rear view camera, rear parking sensors, 15” alloy wheels, door sill covers and leatherette seat covers. It will also feature a special badging and host of value additions, making it that much more distinct from the standard Rapid model (Read : Skoda Rapid Road Test). 

The special edition Skoda Rapid Leisure will be available in both 1.6 petrol (AT & MT) and diesel (MT). The petrol variant has maximum power of 105PS@5250rpm with maximum torque of 220Nm@153-3800rpm. The diesel variant has maximum power of 105PS @4400rpm with maximum torque of 250Nm@1500-2500rpm. 

The Skoda Rapid Leisure will sell in a total of three variants, starting from a price of Rs 7.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the 1.6 petrol manual version, Rs 8.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the automatic, and Rs 9.06 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the diesel manual version.
