22Kymco Plans To Make In India By The End Of 2019

We already know that 22Motors and Kymco will be bringing their first jointly-developed product, the 2019 Flow to India soon. And now, we’ve come to know that Taiwanese bikemaker, Kymco Motors will be introducing the Like EV as its first offering in the country.

Kymco already sells the Like EV in international markets. The electric scooter sports a clean, neo-retro design and comes equipped with top-shelf features. These include a fully-digital instrument cluster with navigation, LED headlamp and the firm’s Ionex technology. This tech allows for easy swapping of batteries.

Coming to the specs, the Like EV packs a brushless DC motor which puts out 3.2kW (4.3PS) of power. Powering the electric motor are two lithium ion batteries, one of which is swappable.
Suspension duties here are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a single-sided swingarm at the rear. Braking hardware consists of a disc at the front and a drum at the rear. The e-scooter tips the scale at 110kg.

We expect the Kymco Like EV to be priced at around Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom). Safe to say, once launched, the Like EV will be one of the most feature-packed electric scooters like the Ather offerings and the 22Motors Flow.
