Honda has confirmed that it will be getting the Forza 300 maxi-scooter to India. According to top officials, the scooter will most likely come to India by the end of 2020. Honda has already sold four Forza 300 scooters in India. However, they were customer feedback vehicles and Euro 4/BS4-compliant. We will be getting Euro 5/BS6-compliant Forza 300s here.

The Forza 300 will be Honda’s flagship scooter for India. It will be sold from the Honda Big Wing dealerships reserved for mid- to large-capacity Honda two-wheelers. The Forza 300 is a full-size maxi scooter that weighs 182kg, far more than your run-of-the-mill 100cc scooter. It has enough storage space for two full-face helmets. For touring, the scooter gets an electrically adjustable windscreen. It also features all-LED lighting and a semi-digital instrument console that displays the odometer, tripmeter, range, instantaneous fuel efficiency, average fuel efficiency, clock, and ambient temperature.

Power comes from a 279cc liquid-cooled and fuel-injected single-cylinder powerplant. It puts out 25.15PS at 7000rpm and 27.2Nm at 5750rpm. The scooter now gets the added safety net of traction control. It gets a CVT transmission that sends power to the rear wheel via a belt drive. Honda claims the Forza 300 returns a fuel efficiency of 31kmpl, and with its large 11.5-litre fuel-tank, we are looking at a theoretical range of around 356km.

Suspension setup comprises telescopic forks and dual shock absorbers. The Forza 300 rides on 15-inch front and 14-inch rear wheels. Braking is via a 256mm front disc and 240mm rear disc with the addition of dual-channel ABS.
Honda will most likely get the Forza 300 to India via the CKD route as it does with its mid-size motorcycles like the CB300R and CBR650R. The Forza 300 is expected to be priced in the region of Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 2.8 lakh. It will compete with the 22Kymco X-Town 300i.
