The Ace Edition has been launched to celebrate the second-gen Amaze crossing the 1 lakh unit sales milestone in 13 months. This makes the entry-level sedan one of the fastest selling cars by Honda.

On the outside, the Amaze Ace Edition looks relatively similar to the regular Amaze aside from a few blacked-out cosmetic additions. It gets a black boot-mounted spoiler, black door visors, black alloy wheels, door edge garnish and an ‘Ace Edition’ emblem to complete the sporty look.

The interiors get ‘Ace Edition’ branded seat covers and new footwell lamps as part of the package. Other interior features include the Digipad 2.0 infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen. It supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Standard features include an automatic climate control, push button stop/start and paddle shifters (CVT option only). Safety features consist of dual airbags, rear parking sensors and camera, and Isofix child seat anchors.

Under the hood, it gets the same engine and transmission options as the standard sedan. The 1.2-litre petrol engine puts out 88PS of power and 110Nm of torque and can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. The 1.5-litre diesel engine, on the other hand, is available in two states of tune depending on the transmission option. Where the manual variant puts out 100PS and 200Nm, the CVT variant has a lower output of 80PS and 160Nm.

The Amaze Ace Edition will be available in three shades - Radiant Red, Lunar Silver and White Orchid Pearl. The regular Amaze goes up against the Ford Figo Aspire, Hyundai Xcent, Tata Tigor and the Maruti Suzuki Dzire and is priced from Rs 5.88 lakh to Rs 9.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
