First image of new Hero scooter

To take on the segment leader, Honda Activa, Hero MotoCorp is readying a new range of scooters for India and one of it was spotted for the very first time on our soil. The spied Hero scooter looks very different from the radically designed Hero Dare 125 which was showcased by the company during the 2014 Auto Expo.

The new Hero scooter has more conventional design with understated lines to take on the likes of Honda Activa and Suzuki Access. Going by the spy picture, the new Hero scooter has compact proportions, with a slim rear panel design. According to reports, the new Hero scooter could be powered by a 125cc engine and would be more premium than the current scooter offering of the two-wheeler major. The new Hero scooter will also be equipped with telescopic front forks and indicators mounted alongside the headlight.

At this point, there isn’t much information available on the new Hero scooter, but we expect it to be launched by mid-2015. Hero will also be launching the Hero Dare 125 scooter which will also be powered by the same 125cc engine, said to be developed by Hero MotorCorp ingeniously.
