The BS6-compliant version is dearer by around Rs 6,600

  • The TVS Radeon is available in two variants: standard and Commuter Bike Of The Year.
  • The latter comes in both drum and disc brake versions whereas the former is available only with drum brakes.
  • It will get a fuel-injected engine, and the bike is likely to feature an all-LED headlamp as well.
  • We’ve got our hands on the exclusive prices of the TVS Radeon BS6 range. Expect the brand to officially launch the motorcycle real soon. Here are the ex-showroom Delhi prices along with the premium you’ll have to pay for the BS6 iteration.

    Rs 56,360

    Rs 8,632

The TVS Radeon BS6 will come with fuel injection. As with most BS6 iterations of existing BS4 models, expect a slight drop in the power and torque figures. For reference, the 109.7cc single-cylinder carburetted BS4-compliant motor makes 8.4PS at 7000rpm and 8.7Nm at 5000rpm.

Apart from a fuel-injected motor, expect the brand to offer new colour schemes in the TVS Radeon BS6. Considering the recently launched TVS Star City Plus features an all-LED headlamp, expect the Hosur-based brand to replicate the same in the Radeon as well. This coupled with the refreshed graphics and/or colour schemes should compensate for the premium to a certain extent.

The TVS Radeon BS6 will retain the same telescopic front fork/ twin rear shock absorber setup. The 130mm front drum and 110mm rear drum with CBS as standard will be unchanged as well. With the added emission-controlling equipment, a marginal weight increase is inevitable. The BS4 Radeon tips the scales at 112kg, kerb.

The special edition version, called ‘Commuter Bike Of The Year,’ comes with a more premium seat, an optional front petal disc, metallic levers, chromed out circular rearview mirrors, more premium-looking graphics with tank pad and premium seat cover.

The TVS Radeon BS6 goes head to head with the 110cc Hero Splendor iSmart BS6, the first BS6-compliant motorcycle to be launched in its segment.
