Bid to Win!
It’s one thing to buy your car from a regular dealer, but how about winning it in an auction? And then when you know that the price you’re paying for the car at the auction is going to go towards bettering the environment at the hands of the World Wild Fund for Nature (India), it just makes the whole experience sweeter. It doesn’t end there either – imagine if the car in question is going to come autographed by all the captains of the 2011 IPL season and will be handed over to you just before the final match, with the whole country watching! Well, trust Volkswagen to unite all its synergies in a unique campaign and that’s exactly what they’ve done with the all-new Passat. Volkswagen is already an official partner for the 2011 IPL season thus cashing in on the cricket-craze in India. But the Passat isn’t just about great performance – it is also about going green and with the car loaded with BlueMotion Technology, the natural instinct is to hook up with the foremost environment-awareness organization in the country – WWF.
So one Cashmere Brown Volkswagen Passat in Highline trim will be up for everyone to bid come April 25th for 10 days. If anyone’s interested, you can try your luck through the IPL website which will then route you to eBay to place your bids. Commenting on the auction, Mr. Lutz Kothe, Head of Marketing and PR, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt Ltd said, “We chose to auction our newest product, the All-new Passat and donate its proceeds to an organization like the WWF which is dedicated to conserving the environment i.e. also in line with our Think Blue campaign. The All-new Passat is on display at all the stadiums of the IPL matches and we are very happy with the response that we have received since its launch late last month.” The car itself is a treat – park assist, great interiors, auto start-stop system, powerful performance and awesome efficiency come guaranteed with it, but with this particular one that will be auctioned out, the owner will also get an autographed cricket bat!
