Kia has revealed the 2024 Carnival ahead of its launch on October 3, 2024. The Korean marque has opened bookings for the upcoming premium MPV, which will be available in two broad variants: Limousine and Limousine Plus. After being discontinued in 2023, the MPV will be making a comeback in its latest avatar and will likely be a fully imported model.
The Carnival MPV will boast many premium features and comforts and will be positioned as a more premium alternative to the Toyota Innova Hycross. If you are considering to book one, here’s an overview of the upcoming MPV for you.
In terms of design, the Carnival gets a completely redesigned look upfront, taking cues from the flagship upcoming EV9. It sports a wide grille flanked by vertically stacked LED headlamps and L-shaped DRLs. It looks chunkier and gets a more bold look compared to the model which was on sale earlier.
The silhouette with its upright stance gives it more of a SUV vibe rather than MPV. Adding to the look are the new set of 18-inch alloys and connected LED tail lamps which is in line with Kia’s modern design language.

The dashboard design and layout is premium with dual 12.3-inch digital displays consisting of the touchscreen infotainment system and driver display. Unlike the previous-gen model, which gets multiple seating options, the new-gen Carnival is offered only as a 7-seater. The cabin comes finished in a dark blue / beige hue in the base Limousine variant and a more premium tan / black colour scheme for the top-end Limousine Plus variant.
Apart from the aforementioned screens, it will also get Apple Carplay and Android Auto, powered front seats with heating and ventilation, head-up display, dual sunroofs, powered second row seats with ventilation function, one-touch sliding rear door, 64-colour ambient lighting, 12-speaker Bose audio system and three-zone climate control.
Passenger safety is taken care of by eight airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors with a 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system and a full suite of level-2 ADAS features.
The 2024 Kia Carnival is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine which churns out 193 PS. This engine will be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, driving the front wheels.
The Kia Carnival is expected to be priced around the Rs 40 lakh mark (ex-showroom). It will be a more premium alternative to the Maruti Suzuki Invicto and Toyota Innova Hycross.
