Many carmakers have bumped the prices of their models this year due to supply-chain restraints, the most recent of which was Tata, who hiked the prices for its entire ICE lineup. And now, Volvo has followed suit by increasing the prices of the XC60, XC90 and the all-electric XC40 Recharge. The carmaker cites supply-chain restrictions as the cause for the latest price revision.

As per the table, prices for the XC40 Recharge P8 Ultimate have been increased by Rs 1 lakh, the XC60 B5 Ultimate is costlier by Rs 60,000 and the XC90 B6 Ultimate carries the maximum hike of Rs 1.6 lakh.

For the buyers who booked any of these models on or before November 24, we’ll give you a sigh of relief, as you will not be affected by this price hike. The carmaker has also left out S90 and ICE-powered XC40 from this price increment.

Currently, Volvo has five models on offer in India, XC60, XC90, XC40, XC40 Recharge and the S90, all being locally assembled. Volvo has also revealed that their next electric offering for India will be the C40 Recharge, which will go on sale in 2023.
