What Is The Range Of Mahindra XUV 3XO? Everything About Powertrain And Range Explained!

Just a day after the launch of the new XUV 7XO, Mahindra has taken the wraps off the XUV 3XO EV – an EV avatar of the XUV 3XO with similar styling to the RevX range of the ICE-powered XUV 3XO. 

It is powered by a 39.4 kWh battery with a driving range of 285 km, and a whole lot of new kit on the inside. It’s available in two variants, AX5 and AX7L, priced at Rs 13.89 lakh and Rs 14.96 lakh, ex-showroom, respectively. 

Deliveries are slated to start from February 23, 2026. With the addition of the XUV 3XO EV, there will now be four e-SUVs in Mahindra’s lineup.

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV: Battery, Range And Charging Details

Unlike the XUV400, which was available with two battery options – 34.5 kWh and 39.4 kWh – the XUV 3XO EV gets a single 39.4 kWh battery, which, the brand claims, should provide a 285km driving range on a single charge.

This is an NMC (Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt) pack Nickel Manganese Cobalt) pack that is sourced from LG Chem in Korea. The battery supports DC fast charging and can be juiced up from 0 to 80 per cent in 50 minutes via a CCS-2 port housed on the front right fender. 

For home charging, Mahindra will provide a 3.3kW portable charger, which can charge a completely flat battery to 100 per cent in about 13 hours. A 7.2kW AC wall charger is available as an optional extra and should do the job per cent in about 13 hours; a 7.2kW AC wall charger is available as an optional extra, and that should do it in about 6.5 hours. 

The brand claims that the 3XO EV’s battery should deliver about 285 km of driving range on a single charge (not an official ARAI-tested figure, hence a lot lower than the 456 km ARAI-certified range of the XUV400).

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV: Motor And Warranty

The battery sends power to a single-motor on the front axle, which churns out 150 PS of peak power and 310 Nm of peak torque. The motor can propel the XUV 3XO EV from a standstill to 100 kmph in a claimed 8.3 seconds. It has three drive modes: Fun, Fast and Fearless. 

The XUV 3XO EV gets a 8 year or 1.6 lakh kilometre (whichever comes first) warranty on its battery.

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV: Features And Safety

On the technology and convenience front, Mahindra is leaving no stone unturned. The XUV 3XO EV comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone climate control. It also features a 7-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos, along with keyless entry and automatic headlamps.

The electric SUV is well-equipped with a Level 2 ADAS suite, six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and front and rear parking sensors. Additional safety and convenience features include an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, electronic stability control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Features such as 6 airbags, all-wheel-disc brakes, and ABS with ESC are standard across both variants.

Mahindra XUV 3XO EV: Price And Rivals

Prices for the XUV 3XO EV start at Rs 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom) for the AX5 variant, and the higher AX7L variant demands Rs 14.96 lakh (ex-showroom) of your hard-earned moolah. It rivals the likes of the Tata Nexon EV, MG Windsor EV, Tata Punch EV and Citroen eC3.
