With the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV launched today, at Rs 13.66 lakh (ex-showroom), we now get to see action in the EV space heating up once again! And while Mahindra has made a lot of changes, it has ensured not to deviate too much from conventional design choices, to make it look more palatable. So let’s take a look at how it looks in 10 real-life pictures:
2026 Mahindra XUV 3XO EV: Exterior
Front
Starting from the front end, the XUV 3XO EV looks quite similar to the RevX variants of the standard XUV 3XO. We get to see a blanked-off body-coloured grille with copper accents which is flanked by hexagonal headlamp clusters. Lower down, we also see a large air dam with a unique EV-specific pattern for distinctiveness on the roads.

Side
On to the side profile, and you will be hard-pressed to tell apart the EV, since it looks almost identical, barring the flap for the charging port and the copper-coloured logo on the hubcaps for the 17-inch alloy wheels.

Rear
It is a similar story for the rear-end too, with all elements being identical except for the logos and silver trim on the bumper, which also carry forward the copper theme. Another way to distinguish it from petrol and diesel XUV 3XOs is an EV badge on the left side of the tailgate.

2026 Mahindra XUV 3XO EV: Interior And Features
Sit inside the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, and you get to see an upright dashboard layout. It remains one of the few modern EVs with a lot of physical buttons, which keeps it in line with the conventional and conservative approach that Mahindra has taken.

If you have been inside the XUV 3XO, you’d feel at home here too, with identical seats, design and similar equipment levels to match.
Taking centre-stage here is a 10.25-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You also get the same 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, which is found on its fossil fuel-powered counterpart.

You also get white seat upholstery and a large panoramic sunroof, which further enhances the feeling of brightness inside, which is crucial for a car of this size.

In terms of features, besides the infotainment and digital cluster, the XUV 3XO EV gets equipment like a 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, wireless charger, auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, rear AC vents and keyless entry.

Safety-wise, it gets 6 airbags, a Level 2 ADAS suite, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, all-wheel disc brakes, 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

2026 Mahindra XUV 3XO EV: Powertrain

ZigSays…
The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV brings a fresh take to this segment of EVs. With sober styling, compact dimensions and a lot of features, it aims to seamlessly blend into your daily routine as opposed to fighting for road presence. While it remains to be seen how well the market takes to it, we feel the competitive pricing, along with a conventional take, could see it become a popular choice.
