This Hyundai MPV would be perfect for those humongous joint Indian families

If you were to pick a mass-market car for a big family, the likes of the Toyota Innova Hycross, Tata Safari, or Mahindra XUV700, would be your go-to choice. But what if you were to chauffeur a family that’s even bigger – a typical Indian joint family with up to 11 people?

No, they won’t appreciate you parking the Force Traveller in your garage. So then what? Hmm…. What if we told you there was a Hyundai MPV sold overseas capable of doing exactly that – seat 11 people inside – without sacrificing comfort and luxury?

Given that Hyundai has been outdoing itself with new cars (Ioniq 5 N), calling the Staria the ‘coolest Hyundai’ might be a stretch, but it’s definitely up there with the best. Because seating 11 people is one thing and keeping all of them comfy is another.

The Staria manages to achieve that with a healthy list of features like a powered tailgate, powered sliding doors, USB outlets (all seats), 8-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, ventilated and heated seats, automatic AC and even ADAS features.

If you want to liberate more room inside, the Staria also gets a 7- and 9-seater configuration option. Only if the Staria was available or coming to India… we could’ve been planning family road trips without having to split people up in two groups. Antakshari would hit different!
