Ahead of the launch on November 25, Tata Motors has fully unveiled the exterior and interior design of the new Sierra. The Compact SUV, which sits between the Curvv and Harrier in Tata’s portfolio, gets a retro-cool design theme which blends the classic design touches of the original Sierra with the modern and futuristic theme of Tata Motors’ designs today. Let’s take a look at all we know about it:
Starting off with the exterior design of the new Sierra, it follows a minimalistic philosophy. At the front, you get a gloss black surround which houses the headlamps, connected DRLs, a ‘Sierra’ badge and also the radiator grille. Below it you have a silver skid plate wrapping around the lower air dam.

Move on towards the side profile, and you find the new Sierra looking very similar to the concept showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, with the only major exception being new 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Besides this, it still retains the ‘clamshell’ bonnet, flush door handles and the gloss black roof insert to mimic the ‘curved’ windows of the original Sierra.

At the rear it gets a flat hatch with connected taillamps, a large roof spoiler and gloss black cladding with a shapely silver skid plate on the bottom end.

Climb inside the new Sierra and you find a dual-tone black-and-white interior. The dashboard layout has been kept true to the concept and features a three-screen setup comprising a digital instrument cluster as well as a touchscreen infotainment and passenger entertainment screen as well. It borrows the four-spoke gloss black steering wheel with a backlit logo from the Curvv giving it an upmarket feel inside.

For the rear seat, you can see that it gets three adjustable headrests ensuring safety and comfort even for the middle occupant. It also gets rear sunshades for the second row too.

Aside from the aforementioned three-screen setup, the Sierra gets loaded with a lot of technology. This comes in the form of ventilated front seats, a large panoramic sunroof, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, ambient lighting and a 12-speaker JBL Black sound system with soundbar. It is also likely to feature a powered tailgate, powered driver seat, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, rear sunshades and drive modes.

In terms of safety, Tata has you covered with the Sierra expected to get Level 2 ADAS suite, 7 airbags, electronic stability control, 360 degree camera, hill hold assist, electronic parking brake with auto-hold and front and rear parking sensors.
While Tata has not revealed the powertrain options for the new Sierra, it is likely to be powered by a brand-new 1.5-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol and the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre diesel engine options. Both the engines could get manual and automatic transmission choices. Here are the expected figures of both these powertrains:
