Tata Power has installed over 1000 electric vehicle charging stations across India. The company has also managed to set up 10,000 home EV charging points in the country. While there’s still a long way to go, it is indeed a notable milestone and should catalyse faster EV adoption in the country.

The Tata Power charging grid, currently spanning nearly 180 cities, is present in offices, malls, hotels, retail outlets, public spaces, and state/national highways. The company aims to have up to 10,000 charging stations on highways to ease range anxiety.

Tata Motors, which currently offers the Nexon EV and Tigor EV in its EV lineup, plans to invest Rs 7,500 crore over 18 months to expand its passenger electric vehicle segment.

In related news, Tata Motors will be introducing up to 10 new EVs by 2025, starting with the Altroz EV and probably followed by the electric Punch.
